We've given community medicine a makeover with our Acupuncture Lounge! Our soothing community acupuncture space has calming green and purple walls, comfortable armchairs, air infused with essential oils, and music ranging from Bossa Nova, jazz, to classical.

At the Acupuncture Lounge patients receive acupuncture while relaxing in comfortable armchairs. Acupuncture points on the arms and legs, hands, feet, head, and ears are used so there is no need to undress. Treatments are customized to address each patient? particular imbalances. These sessions take about 45 - 60 minutes. Our community acupuncture clinic draws from hospitals in China, where patients are able to access acupuncture treatments more frequently--almost every day, and treatments are given in a group setting.

At Urban Refuge we believe health care is a necessity not a luxury. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine are proven therapies for many common ailments from stress to musculoskeletal pain to flu symptoms. The community clinic encourages frequent treatments (once or twice a week) in order to increase the healing response, resulting in faster recovery rates.
